KETTERING REC CENTER TEAMS TAKE TOP HONORS AT THE CHAPTER’S LIFEGUARD COMPETITION
Dayton, Ohio, August 7, 2006 – Two Kettering Rec Center teams took first and second place at the 2006 Lifeguard Competition hosted by the Dayton Area Chapter of the American Red Cross and sponsored by The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton on August 6 at the Kettering Recreation Center.
The Lady and the Tramp team from Kettering Rec Center won first place. Team members are Corey Beals, Allison Giner, Ben Kaffenberger and Rory Korzan.
Taking second place was Team Estrogen, also from Kettering Rec Center. Team members are Gretchen Giner, Ellie Malchow, Brittaney Mosmon and Brittany Yike.
A team from the University of Dayton came in third. Team members are John Parker, Cathy Quatman, Angela Wright and Aaron Gosser.
The teams will compete in the State Lifeguard Competition to be held Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the Trotwood High School Natatorium in Trotwood.
